Description

Original 16"x16" Prismacolor colored pencil drawing on light grey Strathmore paper. Drawing depicts a still-life of diagonal lichen covered branch with yellow/orange fallen leaves next to a zuni inspired native pot filled with water with an elder's reflected face looking out toward the viewer. Beneath the water vessel, two weathered sacred feathers lay pointing down to the left. Underneath the still-life is a paper-like swath of grey/greenish color with rough edges which is laid upon four reddish fingerpainted markings which traverse the piece from top left to bottom middle. Finished June 28, 2013.
